- Is LED on at all (red or green)?
- If no, make sure device has power.
- Has the proper signal voltage been verified (24 VDC versus 120 VAC)?
- Wiring a 120 VAC into the 24 VDC port on the Caddis device will not work and can cause damage to the device.
- When a digital multi-meter (DMM) is placed between the signal line and ground, does it show a change from high to low (+24 VDC to 0 VDC or 120 VAC to 0 VAC) during the machine cycle?
- If not, consult with an electrician and/or controls engineer to find out why the signal from the machine is not changing.
- If signal changes but does not reach at least +18 VDC (for a 24 VDC input), the device will likely not detect the machine signal.
- For a 24 VDC signal, a change from -24 VDC to 0 VDC will not be detected by a device and a relay must be used to provide 0 to +24 VDC swing.
- Is the device power, device signal, and machine signal all sharing the same ground?
