• The most likely cause of this is that the order of the wires is reversed on the thermocouple connector or the thermocouple input port on the Caddis device.
    • If the thermocouple can be disassembled and rewired (is not pre-made with a molded connector from the manufacturer), check to make sure that the thermocouple wires inside the connector are connected to the correct blade/pin.
      • If unsure about whether or not the wires are reversed, the Input Status tab on the device configuration page can be consulted to see what the temperature reading is. With the thermocouple plugged in, hold the end of the thermocouple between two fingers, or place it on a warm surface to ensure that the temperature reading on the device configuration page increases instead of decreases.
        • If the temperature decreases, reverse the order of the wires in the thermocouple connector.
    • If the thermocouple comes pre-wired from the manufacturer and has a molded connector, it is possible that the order of the wires inside the Caddis device has been reversed.
      • In this case LCM2M support must be contacted to repair or replace the Caddis device.
